- Well this week they are going by length so Baby G is the length of a large ear of corn and about a pound and a half!
- Baby's rapidly developing senses can now sense what is upside down and right side up- This must explain why it feels like he is doing summersaults in my belly!
Bump Report- In the past when someone told me that they were 6 months pregnant that sounded REALLY pregnant to me. I thought I would be huge by 6 months but I am just starting to really look pregnant. I think I have officially passed the phase where people are now sure I am pregnant and not just indulging in one too many cookies! This is me trying on some clothes to accommodate the ever growing bump and the heat! Bonus the skirt is non-maternity just stretchy material. I may be able to use it afterwards
Pregnancy Perks:
Pulling the pregnancy card... in best winey voice.....'Umm but I am pregnant'!

Being spoiled by the Hubby.
Parking- see picture below.
Hunger!!! It goes something like this:
I wake up at 6 a.m., which those who know me know that I HATE waking up early. However I am up because my stomach is growling so loudly and Baby G is kicking me awake! I Stumble down to the kitchen, Dog gives me a quizzical look that says, 'I don't know why you are up but I am not going outside'! I Make myself a bowl of oatmeal with milk and a banana.
8:30 a.m. my stomach starts growling again! Seriously this can't be happening!
I try and wait it out... I can't be hungry again!
9:00 a.m. Baby G starts kicking me as if to say 'Hey still hungry send something down!!!'
At this point Jef says something like, 'Why are you starving my child'.
Me: Eye roll 'Really?' and so I am off to breakfast number 2.
Keeping Cool- I finally took the plunge and joined Lifetime Fitness. It is technically a gym but it's really more like a club. It has a spa, amazing cafe and child center.
Baby G- moving more than ever now. He usually will wake me up at around 5:30 with some good swift kicks. Let's hope this is not a sign of things to come and he likes to sleep in like his mom and Duncan. Yeah I know wishful thinking!
Cravings- cherries (cherry season is almost over! Ohh no), raspberries, hummus, bagels & peanut butter.
Aversions- Morning sickness is back Ugh! I had a pretty intense episode on Saturday.
Looking forward to- Baby Moon! We are headed to the Beach for a week!!! & booking my maternity photo session.
To do list-Start interviewing Pediatricians ohh and buy everything else and begin to setup nursery.
Jef and I usually are on the same page on most topics. However I was pleasantly surprised on how much we are in sync in regards to our opinions on child and baby care. We are pretty much on the same page on everything! Lucky for baby G Jef will balance me out, because if left unchecked I will probably raise the biggest Momma's boy ever!
Very interesting read: Research suggests that allowing a baby to "cry it out" can cause brain damage. BTW- by cry it out they don't mean pick up the baby at every whimper they mean letting the baby cry for extended periods of time.
Here is one of the many articles on this topic:
Not judging anyone but I am sooo glad that Jef and I are on the same page on this topic and are against letting babies cry it out.
