Baby G.- Well this week The baby is the size of a cauliflower. Who comes up with these comparisons???
During month six, the average Baby measures about 13.6 inches to 14.8 inches and weighs about 1.5 to 2.5 pounds. He is getting big!
Baby G. is starting to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair-and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture! I am guessing it is brown and curly like Jef's. (source Bump)
Confession Time- Hi. My name is Monica and I am a baby clothes shopaholic.
How do I know this? Ummm Let's just say that this week I bought a very cute outfit for Baby G. I got home and went to put it away only to discover I had already purchased the same exact outfit about one month ago!! Apparently I have bought every single baby boy outfit currently available in North Carolina! Jef thinks this is hilarious! I think I may need a twelve-step program! In me defense Jef (aka the Enabler) usually asks to see what I bought and then says, 'Well, to be fair that is REALLY cute'.
Bump Report- here you go! Scenes from the beach this week and the ever growing bump!
Nursery- Well we finally have begun to plan and shop for the nursery. You would think you just stroll into the baby store and buy furniture. Right? Well, apparently not! You walk in and order furniture that hopefully will arrive within 6 -12 weeks! Ummm 12 weeks would almost put us at our due date!! So hopefully our furniture will arrive closer to the 6 week estimate!
After looking at tons of furniture I fell in love with this crib. Here is a picture both in ivory and espresso. We choose espresso (it is not as dark as it seems online).
We also got this matching versatile dresser. It has a changing table on top, but when baby outgrows that, you just flip it over and is becomes a regular dresser. Genius!
I am not a fan of rocking chairs or recliners but while we were deciding on furniture, Jef suggested we sit down to go over our options in the recliner section. Well, I sat on a glider, which I never had before, and instantly fell in love with it. So we will be getting one for the nursery too. We just have to pick out the fabric.
Now we just have to decide on the nursery theme. I am strongly leaning towards a cream, white, and light blue lamb theme. Here it is. What do you think?
Keeping Cool- By staying at the beach and enjoying summer breezes.
Cravings -Lots of salads this week.
Aversions- None really- maybe I am finally turning the corner!
Looking forward to- Baby Care Class.
To do list- Start interviewing Pediatricians, buy everything else and begin to wash all baby clothes.
Just for fun here is a side by side comparison from week 20 and week 25! Ohh and to think I was huge at week 20!
