Week 36!

Well this week Baby G. is the size of  a Crenshaw melon.
And I can tell you it feels more like I am carrying around a bowling ball than a melon.  I think he is beginning to drop because I can breathe better.

Baby G. is still packing on the pounds at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds  and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath (source the bump).

Maternity Leave- It is official. The doctor put me on maternity leave a little early as I travel around a lot for my job and he was uncomfortable with me being on the road so much. It's only been 2 days and hopefully baby G. will get here soon because I get bored being home so much!

Baby Technology- I saw this at Buy Buy Baby and was pretty horrified! Jef and I actually watched this report on the news about children and technology and how kids are losing important people and social skills. They showed one toddler completely baffled by a magazine and trying to press on the pictures to get it to do something! Now I know we can't keep the baby from all technology, but there will be no baby  ipad, iphone or iPod in this house!

Bump Report -Here I am at 36 weeks.

The Waiting Game-  They gave me my last 3 doctor's appointments and hopefully there will only be 3 more blog updates on the Pregnancy Edition!  Hopefully we will have a Baby G. Blog soon.   It is really something to think that this is the month we will get to meet him. I can't wait!

Cravings -  Yeah yogurt is back! I love Fage yogurt.
Aversions-   Still not a fan of chicken.
Looking forward to- Our second wedding anniversary on 10-10-12.

Nesting- Well, Jef has taken over! He installed kitchen organizers and re-arranged the entire kitchen! He is actually better at it them me. Shhhh don't tell him! He also got the spare office ready. He is the best.
Just for fun- here are some comparrsion photos!
