How did we come up with the name. Actually, I am to blame! I was pretty adamant on Jefferson. It was the first name I picked even before I knew Jefferson was a boy. I love that it is different , not common, but not 'weird'. Obviously I love that it means Jef's son and it is also an homage to some men I admire, Thomas Jefferson and William Jefferson Clinton.
Jefferson- (According to Baby Center)
Cooper- This one I just liked. Luckily for me it has Formula1 ties and Jef agreed! Here is some history-The Cooper Car Company was founded in 1946 by Charles Cooper and his son John Cooper. Together with John's boyhood friend, Eric Brandon, they began by building racing cars in Charles' small garage in Surbiton, Surrey, England in 1946. Through the 1950s and early 1960s, they reached auto racing's highest levels as their rear-engined, single-seat cars altered the face of Formula One and the Indianapolis 500, and their Mini Cooper dominated Rally racing. Thanks in part to Cooper's legacy, Britain remains the home of a thriving racing industry, and the Cooper name lives on in the Cooper versions of the Mini (BMW) production cars that are still built in England but are now owned and marketed by BMW.
I guess a Mini Cooper is in our future!
So there you go ! That is how I came up with Jefferson Cooper.
I think it gives him lots of options:
Jefferson, Jef, Cooper, J. Coop, J.C.
We will have to wait and see which one he decides on.
