Week 31!

Well this week Baby G. is the size of  a pineapple!
He's about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds this month. He's getting so big, he's starting to crowd my lungs.
  • He's going through major brain and nerve development.
  • Eye development, too. His irises now react to light!
  • All five of his senses are in working order (source: The Bump).

Well, according to the ultrasound we had Monday... Baby G. weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces.

Before the ultrasound we asked family and friends to guess Baby G.'s weight and the guesses ranged from 3.2 to 5.8 pounds. But Mommy knows best and I guessed the closest at  3 lbs 2.5 ounces!
The ultrasound Tech said you could tell by his facial expression that he does not like it when they press down on my stomach with the ultrasound wand. Check out his cranky face!

Baby Gear-  The newborn snap-in stroller is here! We ordered this snap-in stroller that you just snap his car seat into. I am not the most mechanical person in the world and a Nervous Nelly, so I was hesitant to get an adaptor for our stroller of choice (The City Mini). You are supposed use a car seat with a stroller until  the baby  has really good neck control so we would have to use an adaptor for at least the first four months. We are going to get a City Mini Stroller as our main stroller, but until he is ready this will be the main stroller. Also to be filed under Mommy is a little Cray Cray,  I have only bought clothes that zip up the front or snap down the front because your Mommy is afraid to bend your arms or put clothes over your head, while you are so tiny!

Dear Baby G. - You most definitely have your  uncle Leo's nose!!! I can't wait to see it up close and take a side by side photo. He was quite the ladies' man in his day (he is married now). I don't know if  it was his nose or the Brazilian sugar bath his grandma gave him to make the ladies find him irresistible.  Don't worry, I am sure  Grandma Maggie will give you a sugar bath to go along with your nose and make you irresistible.
I have been showered!- My co-workers threw me and my fellow preggos at work a surprise baby shower at Cafe Mimi's. It was a complete surprise! In fact just that morning I was complaining to Jef that I couldn't believe we had another meeting at work! I arrived at work and told to go straight to Cafe Mimi's! It was absolutley lovely!

Bump Report -Here is a picture at 31 weeks
